Sweat

Directed by Chuck Smith, resident director of the Goodman Theatre in Chicago, Illinois and the Westcoast Black Theatre Troupe in Sarasota, Florida. Getting to work with Mr. Smith on such an important piece of theatre was a true honor. The Pulitzer-winning drama explores such big themes as class conflict, American race relations, and community obligation. My work with Mr. Smith taught me a great deal about staging realism and using dramaturgy to bring a historical moment to life.
