A Voice in the Dark

"Told through the eyes of a teenager, A Voice in the Dark: A Salem Story is a thrilling and poignant tale from one of the darkest eras in American history" (Playscripts). I directed this piece for the 2019 Connecticut Drama Association Festival, at which we were awarded Best Production and Best Direction. My design involved a simple modular set and an added ensemble of spirits. I was drawn to this piece because of its powerful and timely messages, focus on the female perspective, and unique take on a well-known story.
